Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam was born and raised in Knoxville, Tenn. After graduating from Emory University, Haslam worked for his family’s gas station business, Pilot Corporation. In 2003, Haslam was elected as Mayor of Knoxville. He was reelected in 2007 with 87 percent of the vote. Haslam successfully ran for governor in 2010, with 65 percent of the vote.
Haslam is married with three children, two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren. He is a member of Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church in Knoxville.
