What is the biggest challenge facing the office you are seeking?
The biggest challenge facing our country is our national debt. With the our debt rising over $17.5 trillion, it is imperative we get our fiscal house in order. Excessive spending, burdensome regulations from an ever-expanding government and high taxes have been the way of Washington for far too long. The flawed tax-and-spend policies of the Obama Administration are responsible for one of the slowest economic recoveries our nation has ever experienced.
What the American people deserve is a return to fiscal responsibility and pro-growth reforms that get our country back on a path to prosperity, and I have been fighting for these ideals from day one. Paul Ryan’s budget recently passed by the House will establish an environment where jobs can be created and wages can grow. I was proud to support this important legislation.
Why should voters choose you?
I have been a consistent fiscal and social conservative and have a proven track record during my four years in office.
I have worked to reform the Inland Waterways Trust Fund to complete the Chickamauga Lock. Additionally, I’ve stood up for our Second Amendment rights, the right to life and against Obamacare. I have also fought hard to make sure our nation takes care of our veterans, and I am proud to say we have opened three veterans clinics in the 3rd District this year.
