Georgia elections start today as Governor’s, Senate races draw attention
David Perdue was born in Macon, Georgia, and raised in Warner Robins. He earned his college and graduate degrees from Georgia Tech. He has had a long career in business, serving as a top executive at Sara Lee, and serving as the CEO of the Reebok brand and Dollar General. Now, he is on the Board of Directors for five major corporations and is active in Perdue Partners, a global trading company that he co-founded. He is a trustee and treasurer of the Georgia Tech Foundation.
Perdue and his wife have two sons and two grandsons. They attend Wesley United Methodist Church in St. Simons.
