Michelle Nunn was born near Perry, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Virginia, she moved back to Atlanta and founded a public service organization, Hands on Atlanta. She promoted volunteerism in Georgia and across the country with Hands On Network. In 2007, Hands on Network merged with President H.W. Bush’s organization Points of Light Foundation. Nunn now serves as the CEO and President of Points of Light, which is a network of 250 local volunteer centers across the world.
She holds a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She lives with her husband and two children in Georgia.
