Was the formal parlor in which the Marsh family would receive guests. The Weber square grand piano is made of rosewood with heavy, carved legs. Majorca tile featuring a calla lily pattern outlines the hearth.
With its off-white walls and dark-stained wood, most closely resembles how the house originally appeared. The room includes an iron day bed, at left, and spool cradle, beside the left rear window, which the family took with them when they fled the house before the arrival of Union forces during the Civil War.

Built in 1836 by Spencer and Ruth Marsh in LaFayette, Ga. Members of the Marsh family lived in it for more than 150 years before it was sold to another family. It is now owned by Walker County and maintained by the Marsh House Task Force.
